POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. At 9 months, if your baby’s weight is not increasing and has stayed at 8 kg for a week, it’s not immediately concerning, as weight gain can sometimes slow down after 6 months. However, if this continues over weeks, it’s important to check her feeding habits, appetite, and activity levels. Make sure she is getting enough breast milk or formula along with nutritious solids like mashed dal, khichdi, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats like ghee or mashed banana. Offer 3 main meals and 1–2 snacks per day. Also check for any signs of illness, teething, or digestion issues that may affect her appetite. If she remains active and alert, it’s usually a good sign. But if weight gain stalls for more than 2–3 weeks, consult your pediatrician for guidance and possible growth tracking.
