#AskTheExpert sir my baby is of 17 days but he hasn't stool from last five days fat is coming but child seems in pain what could be do....also crying and have some tendency of vomiting...plz help

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl3 years agoA. that s nromal for baby. It is normal for the baby to not pass motion freely even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding so no need to worry . if it is above one week or baby s in trouble then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby . no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation by self as not recommended.

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and mostly babies at this age do not poop six to seven days sometimes and please massage on baby stomach clockwise and anti clockwise and also give baby hot water tub massage too. Take care
