You can monitor your baby’s recovery from cold and cough by observing these signs: ✅ Signs of Improvement 1️⃣ Reduced Sneezing & Runny Nose – If your baby is sneezing less and the nasal discharge decreases, it's a good sign. 2️⃣ Less Coughing – The intensity and frequency of cough should reduce gradually. 3️⃣ Easier Breathing – If your baby is no longer breathing fast or struggling to breathe, they are improving. 4️⃣ Better Sleep – A sick baby often wakes up frequently; if your baby starts sleeping well, it's a good sign. 5️⃣ More Active & Playful – If your baby is active and responding normally, it means they are feeling better. 6️⃣ Normal Appetite – If your baby is feeding well without discomfort, the congestion is clearing up. 🚨 When to Consult a Doctor? ❌ If cough lasts more than 10 days ❌ High fever (above 100.4°F) that doesn’t reduce ❌ Fast or noisy breathing (wheezing or grunting) ❌ If baby refuses to eat or drink ❌ If lips or skin turn bluish (sign of low oxygen) Keep giving fluids, warm compress on the chest, and continue medication as prescribed.
