Q.

#asktheexpert pneumonia vaccine is important for baby... because of some reason I was missed 1st dose of vaccine...so now there will be a problem?

A. Hello , your baby boy is 8 months old and if he has missed his PCV vaccinations three doses at 2,3,4 months of his age then now only two PCV vaccinations is possible

A. pneumococcal vaccine is an important vaccine but it is optional vaccine to be taken for the baby if you want to take the vaccine there is no problem we can take now also

A. Ya It is an important vaccination but it is an optional vaccination not a mandatory one but doctors normally say that you should go for it because obviously it is going to protect your child from pneumonia in future so consult your paediatrician and get it done now if you advise it
