#asktheexpert please advise me about iron rich food can be taken in daily diet

A. iron rich food should be taken daily in diet-Pulses, such as baked beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, garbanzo beans, lentils, and peas are extremely good for your baby as they are rich in iron. Broccoli,lufa, Beet root, lufa, and Spinach is another iron-loaded vegetable. nuts, Dried apricots, figs, raisins and prunes can be healthy finger food.

A. Give the iron supplement or multi vitamins prescribed by your pediatrician. In addition to that try to include iron rich vegetables and iron fortified foods like sweet potato, ragi, oats, beetroot, peas etc., you can give eggs, fish, all greens, lentils, soya beans, dry fruits, jaggery, tofu etc., always follow ur doctors advice as haemoglobin levels has to be in good range for baby to gain immunity and fight infections
