#AskTheExpert our boy 3 months old constipates often and when he passes stools it's little bit thick and he has to apply force to pass the stools. please tell me what could be the reason babies constipate often. we heard many times from doctors that it's normal. kindly advise. thanks

A. the consistency is semi solid to solid do not worry about the frequency and this is common Stool- it is very common and normal for small children who are less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour of stool
