#AskTheExpert new borns at 8 weeks have their belly button still pooped out. no redness or pain. how much time will it take to go inside and be normal.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the child is having umbilical hernia which is very common in children and goes away by maximum 2 years of age.
with growing age it regresxses and goes inside
it does not require any intervention or treatment before 2 years if ixt is non complicated.
meet your doctor once who will tell you whether any intervention or wait and watch policy is required.
