The birth weight ideally triples by 1 year so it’s little less but if the child is active and alert then it’s not much to worry but yes weight should increase a bit post 12 months
First get a Health check up done by paediatrician to rule out any other cause
Improve on his quality of food and not quantity
Do not force feed the child
Give small and frequent meals
Foods like banana with milk, daliya with milk and jaggery, Chikoo, cheese, butter, ragi, oats, green vegetables, eggs, paneer, full fat milk and curd, dry fruits, peanuts help in weight gain so include all these food in the diet
