#AskTheExpert my son was having infection in his stomach 15 days before....medicine cource is over. now he is doing potty after eating every meal . doctor advised me to do regular Stool test. plz suggest

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. the baby is 1 year 4 months of age it is quite natural that small babies will be doing motions after taking food it is because of persistence of gastrocolic reflex in some babies

The gastrocolic reflex is a normal reaction the body has to eating food in varying intensities. When food hits your stomach, your body releases certain hormones. These hormones tell your colon to contract to move food through your colon and out of your body.
