Q.
#asktheexpert my son was detected with pda Patent ductal arthritis, when he was born. but after 3 months it got closed naturally. now he is 7 months old but still he doesn't takes breast milk properly. he has sucking issue, while sleeping he sucks properly.Ideally after pda got closed this feeding issue should have resolved. please suggest

if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk
meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this.
see videos on you tube for breastfeexding position and attachment.
take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself.
take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor. x

It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly. You can also book online doctor’s appointment on FirstCry where the doctor can help you and guide you properly
