#AskTheExpert My son rudra Born on 12 April 2022 shows sign of yellowness in his eyes as if he is having jaundice? is it a worry

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow.
you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice.g
normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy.
the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it is ok.No need to worry for the same as it looks normal and physiological for all . If the condition persist then medication or any treatment can be done after consulting a doctor
