Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is shaving fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. highers medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Give paracetamol as prescrived by ur doctor. Keep monitoring the body temperature and make sure it doesnt rise to high temperatures. If the fever doesnt subside after one day or there is high fever please visit ur doctor
