Q.

#AskTheExpert My son is one year and five months old. He eats only mashed food and does not accepts anything which is not mashed.What should i do. How do i make him eat solid food. i have to mash each and every thing to feed him. Pls help

A. Dear Mum, there can be problem with eating behaviours if baby not introduced to unblended foods from 11 month onwards. now you avoid grinded foods, instead start with soft foods, like small pieces of chapati dip in Dal rather than blended even if child is eating less amount off unblended food for few days it is alright. child will eat eventually when hungry let child self feed give finger foods, let child mess a little for creating interest in unblended food keep trying and also try to explain that now child has teeth to chew and is a big boy/girl make child sit with the family to eat to understand how older people have their food
