A. Yes, it’s normal for a 7-month-old baby to exhibit these kinds of movements as they develop their crawling skills. At this age, babies are often mastering the coordination required for crawling and may experience some challenges, such as sliding backward instead of moving forward. This is a part of their learning process. Here’s what you can do to support his development: 1. **Encourage Tummy Time:** Continue providing plenty of tummy time. This strengthens the muscles needed for crawling and helps improve coordination. 2. **Create a Safe Space:** Ensure a safe, soft area where he can practice moving around. Use toys to motivate him to reach forward. 3. **Assist with Movement:** Gently help him practice crawling by placing him on his hands and knees and guiding his movements. 4. **Be Patient:** Every baby develops at their own pace. He will gradually improve his crawling skills with practice and time. If you have concerns about his motor development, consult your pediatrician for personalized guidance and reassurance.
