#asktheexpert My son is having tongue tie as mentioned in discharge summary at birth. Is it necessary to get it rectified. If not, will there be any complications later due to the same.

Look if your child is picking up on his speech and started speaking properly then there is no problem with that a lot of kids even with tongue tie can speak well and they do not face any problem if you see that this child is having any discomfort because of that then you need to get it treated otherwise it is completely fine
