#AskTheExpert My son is 8 months old and he is currently teething. today I checked his weight and he has lost some weight. is it normal?

A. Hi yes it's common during the teething phase that kids suffer from weight loss due to loss of appetite and less intake of food items. gently massage the gum pad area with clean finger tip to facilitate the eruption process of teeth

A. If You like diarrhoea or fever or anything along with that then that’s very normal for a child to lose a little bit of a the most common factor which is associated with it is suppress appetite or losing of appetite so that also leads to losing a little bit of it
