#asktheexpert my son is 7months old, he doesn't sleep for more than 30-45mins. in night also intermittently wakes up after 40mins.

It is common for 7-month-old babies to have frequent night wakings, but if your son is waking up every 30-45 minutes, it could be due to: Possible Reasons: ✔ Hunger – If he's not getting enough milk/solids during the day, he may wake up for feeds. ✔ Teething – Teething pain can disturb sleep; try a cool teether before bedtime. ✔ Sleep Associations – If he needs rocking or feeding to sleep, he may wake up looking for the same comfort. ✔ Separation Anxiety – At this age, babies become more aware and may seek reassurance. ✔ Discomfort – Check for gas, tummy issues, or if he's feeling too hot/cold. Tips to Improve Sleep: ✔ Ensure a proper bedtime routine – Warm bath, gentle massage, and dim lights before sleep. ✔ Try dream feeding – A feed before you sleep may help stretch his sleep. ✔ Encourage self-soothing – Put him down drowsy but awake so he learns to sleep on his own. ✔ Check sleep environment – A dark, quiet room with white noise can help. ✔ Adjust naps – Avoid very late evening naps to improve nighttime sleep.
