#AskTheExpert My son is 5 months old. he is exclusively on breast-feeding. How should I know if he is dehydrated? he pees 6-7 times in day time and some time in night(don't know because of diaper). When should I start water and other foods?

Mother's milk is complete food for the baby . The initial portion is watery that takes care of hydration and the later portion that is creamy and rich in facts will provide then necessary nutrition. So there is no need to give even water . Try to exclusively breastfeed the baby for first 6 months after birth.

than he is receiving sufficient amount of milk
