#asktheexpert My son is 17 months old. we travelled to Maharashtra last week and now he is having severe cold and fever. I have given P250 4ml 6 hrs once for 3 days. Fever is reduced. yet did not recover completely. can you please suggest further treatment.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used ifjin a proper dose for 3-5 days as per thte symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
