A. Hi Sir, He is not having any difficulty while passing stools. Everday we are feeding smashed banana. Should we stop giving smashed banana?

A. Constipation is a problem where there is difficulty in passing the stools and it could be very hard leading to sometimes injury and it becomes a chronic condition in most of the cases if not treated properly . most important thing is a proper diet with good fibre and plenty of liquids . Also avoidance of food which can aggravate the condition like Banana excess of milk and food with maida and junk . medications should be given like lactulose or polyethylene glfrycol but only in guidance with the doctor. In emergency situation glycerine suppository or enema is useful.
