Q.

#AskTheExpert my son had an issue of regurgitation right from birth... got all investigations done...it was all okay... it continued till 6 months n then gradually stopped.... now in his 8th month, he often vomits food.... it starts with coughing, retching and then vomiting.... i feel he does it deliberately...no overfeeding issue..

A. You can lean them forward gently if they continue to gag, to help move the food to the front of the mouth or offer them a sip of water once they have finished. You can desensitise the gag reflex by encouraging mouth play with teethers and other toys.
