#AskTheExpert my son had an issue of regurgitation right from birth... got all investigations done...it was all okay... it continued till 6 months n then gradually stopped.... now in his 8th month, he often vomits food.... it starts with coughing, retching and then vomiting.... i feel he does it deliberately...no overfeeding issue..

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. You can lean them forward gently if they continue to gag, to help move the food to the front of the mouth or offer them a sip of water once they have finished. You can desensitise the gag reflex by encouraging mouth play with teethers and other toys.
