#asktheexpert My neighbour girl suffers from cold cough and fever almost every month.. As she come to play with my daughter.. She is also getting fever every month.. How can i aviod this?? Does influenza shots helps avoid this?

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. if you take influenza vaccine baby will have protection from influenza only not other viral infections Cold and cough in the babies are because of viral infections which will take at least five to six days time to subside it is advisable to do steam inhalation frequently to liquefy the secretions as well put nasoclear saline drops in the nose of the baby
