#AskTheExpert my kid suffered from chicken pox(severe) and now he is suffering from severe itch for which we are using calamine lotion to sooth. previously doctor recommended atarax syrup for 5 days twice a day. how to relieve his problem as calamine lotion isnt working and he has got disturbed sleep. please help

A. Hey parents Dermocalm lotion is an anti itching formulation to treat mild itching conditions such as sunburn, eczema, rashes, poison ivy, Chickenpox, insect bites and stings. It contains Calamine and light liquid paraffin. Light liquid paraffin is used as emollient to prevent dryness of the skin.
