#AskTheExpert : my kid is having rebound cold and cough. This is third time she has cold cough withing 25 days. There is no fever to her and I used to give her cetrigine syrup and she feel better. For how many days we can give cetrigine to kid?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steagm inhalation is repebvated frequently .
