Q.

#asktheexpert My dr suggested me protein powder from 27 weeks wher the foetal weight is 925 gm, which dr suggested as too low. I just googled all and it seems normal for that week. They asked me to take protein powder 3 times a day. I am tensed whether it will give a high weight baby

A. Hello mom either you follow what the doctor says or google ? You need to trust the doctor if doubt take a second opinion by a doctor and not google many a times google does misguide . Every individual is different and many factors determine the weight gain as well .. Have healthy foods and take a balanced meal over all and not priories protein alone .. you can also opt for dry fruits and mix in milk and have as well .. also eggs and non veg if preferred are also good quality protein and dals and lentils such as channa , rajma , sprouts as well

A. hi dear If you give your child whey protein powder, they may have problems digesting it. This could cause symptoms such as bloating, gas, cramps, and diarrhea. Most of these side effects are due to lactose intolerance
