#AskTheExpert my daughter who is 15 months old has a constant cold and fever of 100 degrees from last 24 hours she has been very irritable and her appetite also has gone down! Kindly advice!

A. Hello, your baby girl is 15 months old and she is having a fever and cold since last 24 hours so see if she is having some sinus infection or so

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation ihcs paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. Hi Should be immediately consulting your paediatrician because the it’s a small child it’s better to go ahead with proper checkup and medication regarding the same because without proper assessment will not be able to advise you with the right medicine
