#AskTheExpert my daughter Pehr 4 years old, has red eyes followed by cold n then fever.. this has happened thrice in a month.. does red eyes happen in viral fever?

A. yes in high fever.. Please consult your paediatrician for consultation in person. Details of clinical examination and associated symptoms are required, it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.

A. hi dear In untreated cases, the average duration of the fever is 10 days, much longer than is usually seen in a viral infection. Within a day or two of the fever, the child develops red, "bloodshot" eyes and red, cracked lips. A parent may notice a swollen lymph node in the neck.
