#asktheexpert My daughter is one year old and still wants to eat only mashed food. How can I get her to switch to bites sized food now?

A. it is a gradual process so kindly do not worry and continue to give your efforts in feeding the child. gradually the child will take solid foods and always when you are eating your own food you can give small pieces to the child to eat to make a habit

A. Hello ma’am Till the age of 1 1/2 years almost every child is going to have pure food only because they do not have any kind of teeth so you’ll have to feed them into semisolid consistency only and once your child starts to get its teeth after the age of one or 1 1/2 years when they can learn to do then only solid food is recommended other than that you have to go for pureed food only
