#AskTheExpert my daughter is having cold last 5 days i gave " levosalbutamol sulphate ambroxol hydrochloride and guaiphenesin drop" .. should i continue it or stop? she is still having cough .

A. can be done but by doctor only. It is not possible to comment upon this issue as this might require a detailed examination and evaluation and also some tests to arrive at a diagnosis and so can consult a nearby doctor for the same and so .

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever byand the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
