Q.
#AskTheExpert my daughter is 6months old from 2-3 days she is not sleeping properly and not more than 45 mins even at night. She will wake up in every 1 hr or half n hour. She sleeps only in lap for sometime and when put down on bed she’ll sleep for 30 to 45 mins. Any specific reason or any suggestions. Please help.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. at this age if there is disturbance and sleep it might be due to some type of physical disturbance or due to environmental disturbance.
you have to rule out teething pain which might be causing discomfort. see for any gastric problem like gas or digestion problem (constipation/ diarrhoea) due to the food the child might be consuming which might be causing discomfort. you can give feed to the child because sometimes due to hdunger the child might not be able to sleep
environmental disturbance like temperature variations which might be either hot or cold weather. change in pillow or mxattress. changing place of sleeping can also disturb the sleep
