Q.

#AskTheExpert My daughter is 6 month old and weights 5.7kgs... is this a cause of concern.... Also, what all things can I give her to eat now that she is 6 months old...

A. according to birth weight it's good, Start by offering small amounts of solids once a day.. preffer day time to feed. Follow three day rule. Breastfeeding or formula feeding should continue alongside the solid foods, as they still form an essential part of the infant diet till 1 year. Give vegetables (eg pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, carrot puree) fruits (eg cooked pears/apple, ripe banana) . Moong Daal water, rice kangi. Ragi porridge, rice porridge.

A. See You haven’t mentioned the birth weight of your child I cannot say whether it is appropriate or not or is it a cause of concern also I can tell you that as of now you can start with rice Dal water followed by all kind of vegetable purée fruits porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed potato and Suji items like Kheer Upma can be given and you should try to give good amount of dairy products coconut water water
