#AskTheExpert My daughter is 3 years old, she always get hard stool, and gets delirious while cry with pain please suggest something to ease her pain and for her stool to become soft.... I've tried few otc medicines too. But I didn't get any permanent solution to it

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation is usually a very common problem seen in many where the most important causative factor is decrease intake of fiber rich diet along with lesser fluid intake.
some food like junk food mostly containing maida and oily food can aggravate such condition.
Here the diet modifichgation should be tried first so encourage fibre diet give fruits and vegetable . Avoid excess of cows or buffalo milk and maida containing food .
Medications like lactulose , milk of magnesia and Peg (muout ) powderare used .
In emergency situation soap water with finger stimulation in rectal area and glycerine suppository can be tried .

This things and mostly happened due to dehydration in the body so try to increase the amount of water into your child’s daily that give as much good water as you can along with that I will also recommended to go ahead with giving good five what is dire to the childWrite Your Answer Here
