Q.

#AskTheExpert My daughter is 2 months old. Exclusively breastfed. Her belly button protrudes out. Is it a cause of concern? She has gas issues and goes 2 -3 days without pooping. Thank you.

A. the child is having umbilical hernia which is very common in chilldren and goes away by maximum 2 years of age. with growing age it regresses and goes inside it does not require any intervention or treatment before 2 years if it is non complicated. meet your doctor once who will tell you whether any intervention or wait and watch policy is required
