Q.

#AskTheExpert My daughter is 2 months old and doctor has prescribed her two drops. One for Vitamin D3 and another is Nitrifacts. Whenever I give her the drops, she vomits it along with the milk. Can you guide me on how do I give her the drops twice a day? * I breast feed her.

A. you have to always complete the course of medicine given by your doctor. many medicines can be mixed with water food juice and milk and given to the child so please confirm with your doctor which medicine can be mixed with food and given to the child. also you can keep some taste changing food in your hand and give that taste enhancer immediately after giving the medicine which might decrease the chances of vomiting post giving medicine. many times a divergence technique also helps in small children that is you give the medicine and immediately divert the child with some music osr sound or playful activity. you may give the medicine with the help of a dropper or a syringe (without needle) from the corner of the mouth
