Q.

#asktheexpert my cholesterol level has come out to be 242 I m breastfeeding my baby. Will this high cholesterol have an adverse effect on breastfeeding??? Please suggest how to reduce cholesterol without compromising milk supply

A. you should get your cholestrol level to normal for your own good Maam. please eat lots of good healthy foods. avoid fried foods and snacks. avoid red meat. eat fresh green leafy vegetables. eat fresh fruits everyday.do some exercise on a regular basis. all this will not have an adverse effect on your breastmilk. but I would suggest you consult a doctor and determine if you need any medicine to control your cholestrol. take care.
