Q.

#AskTheExpert my child is 3 months old .. birth weight 2.6 kgs current weight 4.5 kgs..she drinks only 60 ml of expressed breast milk per feed n approx 500 ml in a day..is it ok?? I feel it is less as per her age

A. yes you can use it ..but manual pump will be too tiring for you rather you can use luvlap electric breast pump...it is not very expensive band works really well

A. Hi, Then 500 ml is more than enough dear. I would suggest to keep latching from direct breast in morning and after coming back home for continuing supply of your breastmilk. Continue breastfeeding till 6 month exclusively and don't forget to burp after every feed. You should have good diet if you are breastfeeding.

A. I am working mother that is why I am giving her expressed breast milk

A. Hi, It is good dear. Don't give your milk by expressing dear. Breastfeeding should be on demand only that means whenever baby asks for it, give it. Generally babies get their weight thrice by 1 year and twice by 6 month of their birth weight. Continue breastfeeding till 6 month exclusively and don't forget to burp after every feed
