My child is 1 month 10 days old. When I feed him, he drinks milk for sometime like 10 mins and then sleeps. When I try to wake him, he keeps sleeping. Is it normal? But then after sometime, my breasts become painful. What could be the reason? What should I do about it?

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. Ma’am You should not wake up your child to give a feed unnecessarily it’s not recommended and also your breast pain is because if your child is sleeping for about 3 to 4 hours at a stretch so your breast makes that much milk for the next feeding which your child is not taking our feeling that pain because of Milk accumulated into that area so in that case you can start doing hot compress to release the pain
