Born date is Dec 9th. on 13 Dec Jaundice was 22 after that admitted and give photo therapy admitted on 13 Dec 5 PM IST. on Dec 15 morning jaundice was 16. after that give 20 hours photo therapy and discharge us on date 16th morning. Again we are come at check up on 18th dec jaundice again increase 19.6. Doctor said to wait and check for one day we test again on 19th dec Jaundice was 19.38. Doctor said suggest again photo therapy for 36 to 48 hours. Hey expert can you give me suggestions and what is reason to increase jaundice. first 3 4 days of born mother have some fiding problem but after 5 days it is good.

Usually if the jaundice is related to birth then it will come within 1 to 2 days after giving birth. If it is increasing even after one week then we have to evaluate to find out if there are any other reasons. Sometimes it could be because of breastmilk and sometimes it could also be because of hypothyroidism or any other disorder in the child.￼Write Your Answer Here
