Q.

#AskTheExpert my child had fever for the 6 weeks vaccine and was admitted and treated. CRP was 19. Will the next dose cause the same high grade fever. Should I take pCV with a gap from the infanrix vaccine.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you cran give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repefating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

A. I Don’t think so the fever was due to the vaccination you are saying the CRP was high that means your child was suffering with a stomach infection which is why your child had fever and your child was admitted it has got no connection with the dosage of the vaccination still if you have a doubt then you talk to your doctor and go ahead with their suggestion
