#asktheexpert my child goes to washroom after every 15-20 minutes and do very little clay potty..what could be the reason behind it.. please help me!!! thank you

Lack of Fiber or Hydration: Constipation can sometimes cause small, clay-like stools. Viral or Bacterial Infection: A mild gut infection could cause changes in stool color and frequency. Liver or Bile Issues: Clay-colored stools can sometimes indicate a problem with bile flow, which helps digest food and gives stool its normal brown color. Teething Discomfort (if applicable): Some babies have loose or different stools while teething. What You Can Do: ✔ Ensure Proper Hydration – Give more water, soups, or fluids if your child is over 6 months old. ✔ Increase Fiber Intake – Offer fruits like papaya, pear, and prunes to regulate digestion. ✔ Monitor for Other Symptoms – Watch for fever, vomiting, or yellowish skin (jaundice), which may need urgent attention. ✔ Check Diet Changes – See if any new foods were introduced that could be causing this. ✔ Consult a Pediatrician – If this persists for more than 2 days, especially with pale stool, it's best to get medical advice.
