#AskTheExpert my baby was 40days old ,, he was havinng some secretion in right eye while he slept.. y this happen ? is there anyeffect to eyes??

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. this occurs due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction which is very common in children at this age
it occurs due to obstruction of pathway (nasolacrimal duct) from eyes to the nose for which eyes massage is needed regularly and this problem goes away with increasing age of the childs
meet your doctor for more information and also go through various videos which will also tell you how to massage the eyes to decrease the obstruction.
if the obstrucdtion is not taken care of the proper massage it can lead to infection in the eyes and more watery eyes as well as red eyes and secretions from the eyes
