#asktheexpert My baby's weight was 4kg at the time of birth. But later she lost some weight. She is going to complete her 6 months on this 11th and now she is 6.9kg. Is she in good weight?

A. Dear parent, weight of 6.9 kg is also a normal weight for 6 months old baby, do not worry. Also if baby is active, alert, achieving all growth milestones then it indicates good health.

A. If I just go by the birth weight the new child has gained about 3 KG in six months which is decent but moreover doctors should be double by the age of six months for your child should be somewhere around 8 KG so I was as per birth weight this is little less
