Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is preterm he was born at 33 2/7 weeks...now he is 18 days old ....since I have less breastmilk iam feeding him pre Nan and iam giving him tablet also since doctor prescribed to avoid vomiting. But still he is vomiting little milk when ever he drinks.what should I do about it doctor.please give me a solution.

A. ok though it makes harder and needs lot of efforts and patience ,I would suggest to stick on breastfeeding. mam ,you may use nipple shield for feeding your child. try different feeding positions Massage your breasts with coconut oil , gently pull out your nipples with the help of thumb and pointer finger .

A. thank you so much doctor.actually iam having problem with breast feeding.sinxe my nipples are very short he is not latching properly.i have conversations with many lactation consultant and one of the consultant tried helping me physically to breast feed him with proper postions ,but still my baby is not latching my breast more than 2 mins.

A. hi first , please offer breasfeeding only because the more your child latches, the more milk is produced . and to prevent vomiting , offer small and frequent feeds. keep your child head slightly elevated while feeding. make sure your child latches properly. burp your baby in between and after each feeding
