#AskTheExpert my baby is of 2 yr nd 2 months. she had sudden fever 102 .5 last night nd had no other symptoms. pls suggest ne she is fine with 98.6 . her head becomes too hot during fever. I had given paracetamol in d night. wt may be fd reason pls explain.

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dhgose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required
and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
