Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is nearly 6 months old ,she sits with support only for a few seconds or min,she does free falling n is not very much interested in sitting ,she tends to lean back after sometime but can sit on lap for some time,is this a matter of concern ,her birth weight was 2.9 kg ,now it's 7.5 kg .she has head control

A. Hello ma’am It is not recommended to make your child sit before completing the age of six months even if your child is nearly six-month doesn’t make a difference because it can definitely have more your child is fine and there can be an issue later so it would be best that you please do not do these days and after your child completes the age of six months then you can make your child sit with support because by the age of 7 to 8 months a child learns to sit independently on its own so have patience
