#asktheexpert My baby is having cold n cough since 1 week .. he is 6 months old. Giving him mucolite LS, amoxicillin, nebuliser with dualin Please suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. kindly continue the medicine given by your doctor and take a follow up after 3 days of starting medicine. follow up is also required because the doctor will tell you whether you have to continue the same medicines or there will bez changed in the medicines .

See sometimes when it is due to a viral infection it can even take about a week to 10 days to subside completely so continue continue with the medicine if your doctor has advised and nebulisation is going to be beneficial in clearing the congestion from the chest and nose even after 15 days of the problem is persistent then I would suggest you to go for further testing with your doctor
