#asktheexpert my baby is having cold and cough since 10days, already given antibiotics, still it's there, kindly suggest for alternative medicine

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. kindly continue the medicine given by your doctor and take a follow up after few days of starting medicine. follow up is also required because the doctor will tell you whether you hadve to continue the same medicines or there will be changed in the medicines .

Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.In this here it is very difficult to comment properly until a proper examination or assessment is done to find out the exact cause so it is advisable to consult your doctor so that he could examinhhe and evaluate properly and will guide you accordingly for this .
