#AskTheExpert My baby is approx 6 months old...he is having cough since last couple of days...I am nebulizing him by but it has little effect on him...can u recommend any drops which can help reduce congestion...last time when he has cold we gave him maxtra drops ? can I give him the same...his weight is approx 8kg...pls help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is gfyiven.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be hgiven frequently to relieve the symptoms.
