Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 9 days old..his eye and skin appeared yellow.i have gone for cbp and billirubin test . everything is normal.no anaemia no jaundice....what could b another reason??

A. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow. you have too meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice. normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy. the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.

A. hi it might happen because of dry skin , dehydration or weather change etc please give Massage to your child everyday for Healthy skin. keep your child skin well moisturised by using Babyhug lotion. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day. offer plenty of breastfeeds to your child and make sure your child should pass urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day.
