A. apply tbact cream locally twice daily. umbilical discharge in a newborn, also known as umbilical cord stump discharge, is a common issue that may arise in the early days after birth. it manifests as a mild, clear or slightly yellow-colored fluid coming from the navel area where the umbilical cord was attached. this discharge is usually not a cause for alarm and is part of the natural healing process of the umbilical stump. however, if the discharge becomes excessive, foul-smelling, or accompanied by redness or swelling around the belly button,d it may indicate an infection and requires immediate medical attention. proper umbilical cord care, including keeping the area clean and dry, can help prevent complications and promote healing.
